Duxbury Youth Softball

Mission Statement

The mission of Duxbury Youth Softball (DYS) is to instill in the youth of the community the ideals of physical conditioning, sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, fairness, loyalty, courage, tolerance and respect for authority, so that they may become better adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be decent, healthy and trustworthy adults.

To achieve this mission, DYS will provide a fun, safe and supervised educational program of conditioning, training and competitive softball games that emphasizes individual growth, skill development and teamwork. The program will be guided by DYS coaches, umpires, board members and other volunteers who will promote the principal that exceptional athletics and winning of games are only secondary to the objectives of the mission and will endeavor to always lead by example and foster a love of the game that can be a source of lifetime enjoyment.
