Each town is required to form teams comprising its most competitive players. These teams compete against each other in the same division. Players of other skill levels are allocated to different teams in other divisions, ensuring everyone gets to play against teams of similar skill.

Due to the divisional setup of the Summer League, we hold tryouts for in-person assessments. Tryouts will typically occurs in early June. Our primary goal is to ensure all players have a fun and enjoyable experience, so we take great care in placing players in the appropriate divisions.

The SSSL has strict age requirements for players to participate:

• 12U: To participate in 12U, a player must have been 11 or 12 years old as of August 31st of the previous year.
• 10U: To participate in 10U, a player must have been 10 years old or younger as of August 31st of the previous year. Additionally, If the player is a rising 3rd grader, the player must have completed the DYS FARM LEAGUE in Spring.
